I'm currently in "functional recuperation" which means I can walk and pretty much take care of myself without too much pain. When my mom had her accident she was so beat up that the first few weeks were terrible and we wondered if she'd ever be able to do things she used to do. But we were amazed at how the human body, with TLC, repairs itself and now she's healthier than she ever was.
