What a pain in the neck! ;-)

This just in from Scott:

Attached is an x-ray of my neck taken yesterday. According to my neurosurgeon, healing of the cervical vertebrae look good, but the fractures of my thoracic vertebrae still need a few more months of rest. As a result, I need to continue to wear my body brace until late November. Assuming all goes well, I'll be able to ditch the brace sometime around Thanksgiving.

Scott is hoping to return to NYC by mid-October.

Hang in there Scott! I can only imagine how frustrating it must be, but we want you to heal fully and completely. Little by little...

Wishing you well!

The camera loves you, baby. And that's not even your best side.

We're all rooting for you out here! All the best.

Love,

Ole

Wearing your body brace till November means you've got a lot of choices for Halloween costumes.

Iron Man
The Tin Man

I'm sure others can suggest more

More Halloween costumes:

- Knight in medieval armor
- Moonshine still
- Deenie (this is a HILARIOUS suggestion if you were a female in the 1970s reading Judy Blume teen novels, such as "Deenie"). If not... er, not so funny)

Thanks for the suggestions, Sandee. Most days I feel like the Tin Man!

Not only choices for costumes but certainly something to be very thankful for come Thanksgiving.

With or without it, I'm looking forward to seeing you at the next IDUG meeting!

>Iron Man

Would that be the Iron Man in the cave or the red and gold Iron Man. Gotta have that flair!

Rehab will seem like forever but you'll get there. See you in NYC soon.

That Deenie reference nearly killed me from laughing so hard... YES - I read all of her books. Scott - what about C3PO? :) Stacy

So it's nearly Thanksgiving. Are you healed enough to shed the brace yet?
