In case you haven't seen it yet, Scott has commented some on this blog. I've given him access to post on his own, so hopefully we'll be hearing directly from Scott has he continues his wonderful road to a full recovery!
Thanks, Mordy. The good news is that I was finally releases from Long Beach Memorial Medical Center last Saturday (8/30). Since then Jen and I have been resting comfortably at my sister's house in Encino. Today is my first appt with a physical therapist. I'm also going to see a dentist about repairing my front teeth that were chipped in the accident. Stay tuned for more updates!
Thanks to all the previous posters for their good wishes! Today begins my first real day of physical therapy. On Monday I'll begin a series of appointments with my sister's dentist to repair my front three teeth that were chipped or broken in the accident. Have a great weekend everyone; more news next week.
I'm so pleased that you're out and getting repaired. It's amazing what they can do with Photoshop these days... even Real World retouching. We're all still thinking of you and wishing you the best.
Thanks Sandee and David. Those Aussies are a tough crowd. Apparently someone has to have a near fatal car accident to get recognized down there, but I'm happy to have made it into the club. Yippee!
Yes, David, the Healing Brush is indeed an AMAZING tool. Even looking close up, it's hard to see where I was put back together!
Hey Scott and Jen, we have been getting some updates from Buzz here on the street, and we're thrilled that you are now in the warmth of a home setting! I bumped into Jeb 'n Trixie today-when I mentioned you, Jeb replied: "Scott who"? and Trixie muttered something about being salt-deprived since you've been gone. She said you'd know what she meant. Missing you and awaiting the return of our most favorite neighbors and friends, love from Ann and Ahmad
Hi Scott and Jennifer, I join all in being so very grateful for the miracle making recovery you - Scott - are having. Jen - hope you are having a miraculous recovery too! I have commiserated with Jeb and Trixie - caninely. Bless you both. Brenda
Scott, have the doctors given you any indication of how long it will take for you to fully recuperate? When my mom had her accident she was so beat up that the first few weeks were terrible and we wondered if she'd ever be able to do things she used to do. But we were amazed at how the human body, with TLC, repairs itself and now she's healthier than she ever was. While it was probably a whole year before she was completely pain free, she was doing plenty in just a few months.
Hi Lynn: I think _full_ recuperation can take a year. I'm currently in "functional recuperation" which means I can walk and pretty much take care of myself without too much pain. I suspect that in another month or so I'll be getting around pretty much as before (just not as fast).
Well, I'm so glad to hear it. A lot of customers ask about you and wish you a speedy recovery. It'll be good to be able to update them with your excellent progress. You're pretty amazing!
Hi Jen and Scott, We both think of you everyday and can't wait to see you home in NYC. Jeb and Trixie may be able to meet our new cat, Anna (she eats out of a This Sucks bowl!). 12 years I've waited and George finally caved. I;m very excited by your progress Scott, and also very proud of you. Love, Linda and George

I'm glad that you're recovering from a darned scary episode.

You know what's causing all those tropical disturbances recently? The collective sighs of relief from all of us, as you pass milestones like this.
By the way, that photo would make a splendid centerfold for InDesign Magazine...
Dear Scott,
I am really happy to see you are making really fast progresses and look quite well.
Keep on up the spirit, we know YOU CAN!

Thanks, Federico! Looks like I won't be coming to Madrid this year.

Hey Scott,
I'm down under after doing the Melbourne Creative Suite Conference.
People were familiar with you and your accident news down here.
And wished you well

Hi Scott.
Glad to see you making great progress. Who knew the Photoshop healing tool worked so well?
