Scott is up!
Scott is off the ventilator and is up! He is talking and aware of his surroundings. His first words were (and I quote) "THIS SUCKS". Scott is back! Noha, Barry, and I are sitting in the lobby at the Fairmont hotel at the moment here in San Jose, and we are having a drink for Scott. It's a good day. A good day.

Dear Scott and his family and friends,
Keep up the good work towards recovery...I am sending good positive healing vibes, thoughts and prayers that recovery be as swift as possible and complete. There is a prayer in Hebrew that asks for God to guide the doctor's hand which comes to mind, along with others that ask for complete healing.
Please know that I am thinking of you, Scott. I was so broken up when Carol told the gathering at the TDC opening about your accident but I am glad there has been some positive news...

Just to catch you up, here's what happened last week while you were out:
The price of oil went down, jalapenos were determined to be causing the salmonella outbreak in Texas, Mariah Carey turned 39, the war in Iraq ended and President Bush was impeached. OK, a couple of those things didn't actually happen, but you get the idea. I think you can take it from here.

Great News. Certainly made my day. I'm confident that Scott's indomitable spirit will overcome his injuries and that he will have a full recovery. Nonetheless, I will say a little prayer for him tonight at services.

That's wonderful news! Glad to hear Scott is on the mend. I know there are a lot of people sending positive vibes, prayers & happy thoughts for a sound recovery.
I second A.J.'s (and so many others') sentiments. The karmic airwaves around LA must be crowded with all those good thoughts, prayers, wishes, poems, and other anti-suck mechanisms. Use the Force, Scott!
